Brief

Kertil Çam tasked Tasarist with redesigning the brand identity, packaging, and bottles. To achieve this, it was essential to refresh the brand’s outdated and tired image while staying true to its essence.

Strategy

The classical beauty metaphors associated with the brand’s aging face, linked to the goddess figure, were modernized while maintaining the brand’s essence. The first step involved creating a brand story that aligned with the brand’s core. The “Messenger Angel” symbol in the story represented a message of good news and established a unique “distinctive brand presence” and a strong brand identity.

In the industrial design phase, the product’s assertiveness was conveyed to consumers through a floral form with a “splash of fragrance effect” in the perfume bottle design, aimed at distinguishing the brand in the competitive landscape. Kertil Çam’s fragrance profile was carefully crafted using blended, naturally derived plant-based ingredients to offer a unique experience. In the graphic designs, vibrant floral visuals were employed to emphasize the brand’s powerful fragrance claim.

Result

Kertil Çam colognes established a memorable brand identity with its iconic bottle design and distinctive brand presence, even without a logo. Following the rebranding, the brand achieved a 300% increase in sales.
